John Kapelos is a Canadian actor who is best known for his portrayals of Carl Reed in The Breakfast Club, Chuck in Roxanne and Dino in Weird Science. Other film credits include Phunny Business: A Black Comedy, Aurora Borealis, Greener, Auto Focus, Blood Type, Internal Affairs, Sixteen Candles, Tootsie, and Thief.

Television credits include Lawrence on USA's Graceland, Picker on FX's Justified, Captain Russell on NBC's Flight 29 Down, Ken on IFC's The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman, Eugene Beale on ABC's Desperate Housewives, Don on Showtime's Queer as Folk, Carlos Ramirez on PAX's Just Cause, and Detective Donald Schanke on CBS' Forever Knight.

John's theatrical work includes Second City's Touring Company and six revues as a Resident Company member. He starred in Second City's critically acclaimed return to Off-Broadway in Orwell That Ends Well (Village Gate); and as Joey Colletti in The Prince of Atlantis (South Coast Repertory).
