Christopher Guest

Christopher Guest is an American actor, director, writer, musician, and composer best known for his mockumentaries, poking fun at heavy metal music, small town theatre, dog shows, folk music, and film-making itself. He is best known for A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, The Princess Bride, and This is Spinal Tap. Other film credits include Misery Loves Comedy, The Inventions of Lying, Spinal Tap: Back from the Dead/The Final Tour/Break Like the Wind, The Thick of It, For Your Consideration, Mrs. Henderson Presents, D.O.A., Small Soldiers, Almost Heroes, Waiting for Guffman, A Few Good Men, and The Big Picture.

Television credits include Dave Chadwick on HBO’s Family Tree and H.J. Cummings on NBC’s St. Elsewhere.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut as Norman in Moonchildren (Royale Theatre); and Off-Broadway, in National Lampoon’s Lemmings (Village Gate Theatre) and Bank Messenger in Room Service (Edison Theatre).
