Yvette Freeman is an American actress, singer, and director. She is best known as Nurse Haleh Adams on NBC’s medical drama, ER. Other television credits include Irma on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, Dr. Lewis on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful, and Evelyn Smalley on NBC’s Working.

Theatre credits include her Broadway debut in Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Longacre/Plymouth/Belasco Theatres); Off-Broadway, in her OBIE Award-winning role as Dinah Washington in Dinah Was (Gramercy Theatre); and regionally, as Ma Rainey in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (Huntington Theatre), Dr. Bessie Delaney in Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years (McCarter Theatre), Bertha in Elegies for Angel Punks and Raging Queens (Ohio Theatre), Sister Hurbert in Nunsense (Cherry Lane Theatre), Queenie in Showboat (Asolo Repertory), Jewel in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Light Opera Theatre), and Bernice in The Member of the Wedding (Portland Stage).
