Originally from Chicago, Suzy Nakamura was the first Asian American female to be hired at The Second City, where she worked in the touring company. She was also an original cast member of The Second City Detroit. On television, she is best known for her recurring roles on The West Wing, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Modern Family. Suzy starred in the ABC comedy Dr. Ken, season four of the FX drama Snowfall, the HBO comedy series Avenue 5, and Netflix’s Dead to Me. She recently starred on Broadway in the critically acclaimed production of POTUS, directed by Susan Stroman. She has voiced many characters on projects such as Bob’s Burgers, Inside Job, and the upcoming Netflix animated series, Exploding Kittens. Suzy can next be seen in the independent film Knox Goes Away starring opposite Michael Keaton.
