Eduardo Oscar Machado is a Cuban playwright living in the United States. Notable plays by Machado include Off-Broadway's Havana is Waiting (Cherry Lane Theatre) and regional works Broken Eggs (Teatro Vista) and The Cook (Hartford Stage). Other theatre credits include Off-Broadway works include Rosario and the Gypsies (Theater for the New City) and A Burning Beach (American Place Theatre) and regional works Carmen: an Afro-Cuban Jazz Musical (Olney Theatre), Mariquitas (Theater for the New City), That Night in Hialeah (Ensemble Studio), The Conductor (Bleecker Street), When the Sea Drowns in Sand, Trying to Get There, and In the Eye of the Hurricane(Actors Theatre of Louisville), and Once Removed (Merrimack Repertory).
