He is best known for The Cat from Outer Space, The Reluctant Astronaut, The Bad Seed, and Harvey. Other film credits include Matinee, Nashville Girl, The Yellow Canary, The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond, Designing Woman, Forever Female, Death of a Salesman, Katie Did It, Gentleman’s Agreement, Kiss of Death, and It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
