Jesse White was an American television, film, and stage character actor. He is best known for The Cat from Outer Space, The Reluctant Astronaut, The Bad Seed, and Harvey. Other film credits include Matinee, Nashville Girl, The Yellow Canary, The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond, Designing Woman, Forever Female, Death of a Salesman, Katie Did It, Gentleman’s Agreement, Kiss of Death, and It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

Broadway theatre credits include his debut as the Salesman in Sons and Soldiers (Morosco Theatre), Duane Wilson in Harvey (ANTA Playhouse/48th Street Theatre), the Mayor in The Front Page (Ethel Barrymore Theatre), Stickpin Sidney Crane in Kelly (Broadhurst Theatre), Marochek in Red Gloves (Mansfield Theatre), Dick in The Cradle Will Rock (Mansfield/Broadway Theatres), Ajax 1st in Helen Goes to Troy (Alvin Theatre), J.G.
