Michael Paul Smith is an actor and singer, best known for his roles in opera.

Opera performances include Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Amonasro in Verdi’s Aida, Tonio in Leoncalvallos’ Paliacci, Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen, and Porgy/Crown in Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess (Los Angeles Opera).

He has also performed with the Redlands, Torrance, Santa Barbara, and Long Beach Opera companies and has toured throughout the United States, as well as Germany, Italy, Austria, China, and Japan.
