Joe Sutton is an American playwright, writing in the traditional Aristotelian style. His play, Voir Dire, opened to rave reviews, and was nominated for both the Pulitzer Prize and the Best Play Award of the American Theatre Critics Association (Seattle Repertory).
Off-Broadway credits include Black Market (Primary Stages). Regionally, his produced plays include The Breach (Arena Stage), Orwell in America (Northern Stage), The Third Army (Long Wharf Theatre), Restoring The Sun and The Third Army, As It Is In Heaven (Perry Street Theatre), and Complicit, winner of the Beverly Hills Theatre Guild Award (Old Vic).
