Doris Baizley is an American playwright, and a founding member of L.A. Theatre Works. At the Mark Taper Forum, she served as dramaturg for the Other Voices Program for writers with disabilities, and was Resident Playwright for the Taper’s Improvisational Theater Project for Young Audiences.

Her play, Sexsting, written in collaboration with Oakland criminal defense attorney, Susan Raffanti, won the Guthrie Theatre/Playwrights Center Two-Headed Challenge Grant (Skylight Theatre). Her other plays include Mrs. California (Coronet Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Granite Theatre), Shiloh Rules (Port City Playhouse), and Catholic Girls, a Drama-Logue Award Winner (Retro Productions).

Documentary plays include The Mikado Project, co-written with Ken Narasaki, winner of the Pacific Rim Playwriting Award (Lodestone Theatre); PH*reaks, co-written with Victoria Ann Lewis (Salt Lake Acting Company); Peace Crimes: The Minnesota Eight vs. The War (History Theatre); and One Day: Sarah House, a Santa Barbara Independent Award for Original Script Winner (Center Stage).
