Steven Dietz is one of America's most widely produced and published contemporary playwrights. Off-Broadway works include his Kennedy Center Fund Award-winning Fiction (Laura Pels Theatre) and Trust and his PEN-USA Literary Award-winning Lonely Planet (Perry Street Theatre).

Regional works include his Edgar Allan Poe Award-winning Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure (Cincinnati Playhouse), his Kennedy Center Fund Award-winning Still Life With Iris (Nashville Children's Theatre), This Random World (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Bloomsday, Becky's New Car, The Nina Variations, Halcyon Days, and God's Country (ACT), Shooting Star (Denver Theatre), Inventing van Gogh (Seattle Repertory), Last of the Boys (Steppenwolf Theatre), Private Eyes (Arizona Theatre), More Fun than Bowling (Round House Theatre), and his National New Play Network's Rolling World featured works Rancho Mirage (Curious Theatre) and Yankee Tavern (Florida Stage).
