Nell Benjamin

Nell Benjamin is a writer and composer, best known for her work on Animal Planet's Whoa! Sunday with Mo Rocca and WB's Unhappily Ever After.

Film credits include Legally Blonde: The Musical.

Her first written play, The Explorers Club, appeared Off-Broadway (Manhattan Theatre Club). She also wrote the lyrics for Legally Blonde (Palace Theatre), and Sarah, Plain and Tall (John Houseman Theatre).

Other works include the additional book and lyrics for Pirates! (Or, Gilbert and Sullivan Plunder'd), an adaption of W.S. Gilbert's The Pirates of Penzance (Goodspeed Opera House); co-writing the book and lyrics for an adaptation of David Adler's Cam Jansen (Lamb’s Players Theatre); and the book and lyrics for an adaptation of Kate Dicamillo's Winn Dixie (Arkansas Repertory Theatre).
