Jane Anderson

Jane Anderson is an American actress-turned-Award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and director. She wrote and directed the film, The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio, and wrote the script for the film, It Could Happen to You.

Other film credits include The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom, winning an Emmy Award for writing, Normal, The Baby Dance, When Billie Beat Bobby, and If These Walls Could Talk 2, winning a Women in Film Lucy Award in recognition of excellence and innovation in writing a creative work that has enhanced the perception of women through the medium of television.

Anderson also became a writer for AMC’s Mad Men, winning a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Dramatic Series, and the HBO miniseries Olive Kitteridge, winning an Emmy Award for writing and a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Long Form Adapted Series.
