James Goldman

James Goldman was an American screenwriter and playwright. Broadway credits include The Lion in Winter (Ambassador Theatre), A Family Affair (Billy Rose Theatre), Follies (Winter Garden Theatre), and Blood, Sweat and Stanley Poole (Morosco Theatre).

He received Academy and Best Screenplay Awards from the Writers Guilds of America and Great Britain for the film, The Lion in Winter. His other films include Robin and Marian, Nicholas and Alexandra, They Might Be Giants, and White Nights.

His novels include Waldorf, The Man From Greek and Roman, Myself as Witness, and Fulton County.

His last works include the book and lyrics for The Celebrated, Scandalous, and Heroic Misadventures of Tom Jones.
