Gina Gionfriddo is an American playwright and television writer, best known for her writing on NBC’s Law & Order, NBC’s Law & Order: Criminal Intent, CBS’ Cold Case, and Netflix’s House of Cards.
For her stage writing, she has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Helen Merrill Award for Emerging Playwrights, and the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for the play, U.S. Drag (Beckett Theatre).
Off-Broadway credits include her OBIE Award-winner, After Ashley (Vineyard Theatre), her Outer Critics Circle John Gassner Award-winning Becky Shaw (2econd Stage Theatre), and Rapture, Blister, Burn (Playwrights Horizons). Regional works include Can You Forgive Her? (Virginia Wimberly Theatre), Spin and Squalor (Cherry Lane Theatre), and Safe (Actors Theatre of Louisville).
