Ed Schmidt is an American playwright. His most successful play to date, Mr. Rickey Calls a Meeting, has been performed in numerous theatres around the country (Lookingglass Theatre).
Schmidt's other plays include The Last Supper (Philadelphia Live Arts Festival), and Our Last Game (Nord Anglia International School). Other works include The Gold Standard and The Shuffle of Things (Cornelia Street Cafe), The Walter Winchell Show (Kennedy Center), 34 Scenes in the Life of Morton V. and The Two-Headed Man (West Bank Cafe), and A Bedtime Story (Camp Dudley). Schmidt also produced a variety show, Ed Schmidt's Dumbolio (Powerhouse Arena) and his work, My Last Play, was also produced as a documentary of the same title and was shot throughout the run of the play (Powerhouse Arena).
