Stephen Adly Guirgis

Stephen Adly Guirgis is an American playwright, screenwriter, director, and actor. Stephen received the PEN/Laura Pels Award for a playwright in mid-career, the TCG Fellowship, and the Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award. Stephen is the recipient of new play commissions from Manhattan Theatre Club, Center Theater Group, and South Coast Repertory.

His plays have been produced both on Broadway and Off-Broadway, as well as the United Kingdom. His play, Between Riverside and Crazy won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play, Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, and Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Play.
