Rita Moreno

Rita Moreno is a Puerto Rican actress and singer. She is the only Hispanic and one of the twelve performers to have won all four major annual American entertainment Awards: an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy, and a Tony. She is best known as Sister Peter Marie Reimondo on HBO's Oz, Violet Newstead on ABC's Nine to Five, and Carmela on PBS' The Electric Company.

Film credits include Remember Me, Play It by Ear, Blue Moon, The Ritz, West Side Story, Summer and Smoke, The King and I, and Singin' in the Rain.

Broadway credits include her debut as Angelina in Skydrift (Belasco Theatre); Olive Madison in The Odd Couple (Broadhurst Theatre); Louise in Wally's Cafe (Brooks Atkinson Theatre); Googie Gomez in The Ritz (Longacre Theatre); Staff Nurse Norton in The National Health (Circle in the Square Theatre); and Elaine Navazio in Last of the Red Hot Lovers (Eugene O'Neill Theatre).
