Raúl Esparza

Raúl Esparza is an American stage and television actor, singer, and voice artist. He is best known as Assistant District Attorney Rafael Barba on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut as Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret (Kit Kat Klub/Studio 54), Jonas Nightingale in Leap of Faith (St. James Theatre), Valentine Coverly in Arcadia, Charlie Fox in Speed-the-Plow, and Robert in Company (Ethel Barrymore Theatre), Lenny in The Homecoming (Cort Theatre), Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Hilton Theatre), Philip Sallon in Taboo (Plymouth Theatre), and Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show (Circle in the Square Theatre); and Off-Broadway, as Iachimo in Cymbeline and Orsino in Twelfth Night (Delacorte Theatre), Ned Weeks in The Normal Heart (Anspacher Theater), his Drama-Logue Award-winning performance as Gethin Price in Comedians (Samuel Beckett Theatre), and his OBIE Award-winning performance as Jonathan in tick, tick…BOOM! (Jane Street Theatre).
