Peter Levin

Peter Levin has directed numerous shows for L.A. Theatre Works including: A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, THE CREDEAUX CANVAS, THE ODD COUPLE, PACK OF LIES, PARIS LETTER, and ART. As a former actor, he appeared in the original Broadway production of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK as Peter Van Daan. He has appeared in Shakespeare's HAMLET, AS YOU LIKE IT, JULIUS CEASER, THE TEMPEST, HENRY IV Part 2, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, as well as in Pinter’s CARETAKER, Ibsen’s GHOSTS, and O’Neill’s ICEMAN COMETH and DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS. Peter has directed plays by Shakespeare, Shaw, Chekhov, Arthur Miller, and George Kelly. He was a co-founder of Hardware Poets Playhouse in New York, one of the earliest off-off Broadway theaters. He has directed over three dozen television movies including Homeless To Harvard, Overkill, In The Name Of The People, In From The Night,  And Never Let Her Go, Popeye Doyle, and Little Girl Fly Away. His series work includes "Lou Grant", "Cagney & Lacey", "Call To Glory", "Judging Amy", "The Guardian" and "Joan of Arcadia". His documentary, Stone On Stone, won Best Documentary Short at The Los Angeles Cinema Film Festival earlier this year.
