Nan Martin

Nan Martin was an American film and television actress. She was best known for the films Shallow Hal, Cast Away, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, and Goodbye, Columbus. Other film credits include Greener Mountains, Big Eden, All of Me, The Other Side of the Mountain/Part II, For Love of Ivy, and Toys in the Attic.

Broadway credits include her debut as Beatrice in A Story for a Sunday Evening (Playhouse Theatre); Mrs. Buchanan in The Eccentricities of a Nightingale (Morosco Theatre); Flo Owens in Summer Brave and Sarah in J.B. (ANTA Playhouse); a Visitor in Come Live With Me (Billy Rose Theatre); Irene Wilson in Under the Yum-Yum Tree (Henry Miller’s Theatre); Lady Percy in Henry IV, Part 1, Lysistrata in Lysistrata, and Emilia Marty in Makropoulos Secret (Phoenix Theatre); Margaret in The Great God Brown (Coronet Theatre); and Marie-Louise Durham in The Constant Wife (National Theatre).
