Michael Kostroff is an American actor, best known for his role as defense attorney Maurice Levy on HBO's The Wire and Detective Martin Wilcox on NBC's critically acclaimed and fan favorite series The Blacklist. Other TV roles include Judge Richard Gearheart on Audience Network's Damages, Marshall Pike on Disney Channel's Sonny with a Chance, Charles Froines on ABC's The Good Wife and Evan Braun on NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
On stage, Michael's credits include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Laughter on the 23rd Floor and Guys and Dolls. He performed in the national tour of Mel Brooks' Broadway hit The Producers, and was the comic villain Thénardier in the touring company of Les Misérables.
Michael is the author of the book Letters from Backstage, a chronicle of his time on the road. He also writes a Backstage advice column for actors.
