Mare Winningham

Mare Winningham is an Academy, Tony, and two-time Emmy Award winning American actress and singer-songwriter. She is best known for the films Philomena, Shakespeare High, Brothers, Dandelion, The War, Turner and Hooch, Miracle Mile and St. Elmo's Fire.

Television credits include multiple characters on FX's American Horror Story, Cherry Lockhart on Showtime's The Affair, Dr. Amanda Lee on NBC's ER, Susan Grey on ABC's Grey's Anatomy, and Lynne Young on CBS' Clubhouse. Miniseries credits include Sally McCoy on History Channel's Hatfields & McCoys, Ida Corwin on HBO's Mildred Pierce and Justine O'Neill on ABC's The Thornbirds. 

Theatre credits include Mare's Broadway debut as Flo Owens in Picnic (American Airlines Theatre) and Rita in Casa Valentina (Samuel J. Friedman Theatre); and Off-Broadway, as Beth in Tribes (Barrow Street Theatre); Mel in After the Revolution (Peter Jay Sharp Theatre); and her Lucille Lortel Award-winning role in 10 Million Miles (Linda Gross Theatre).
