Johnny Holliday is an American radio and television sportscaster. He has been the play-by-play voice of the University of Maryland for over thirty-five years. During his radio disc jockey days, he was named Number One in the country.
Television credits include announcing NBC’s Hullaballoo, NBC's The Roger Miller Show, ABC's This Week with David Brinkley, ABC's This Week with Sam Donaldson and Cokie Roberts, and CBS' Good Morning World.
On stage, Johnny played more than twenty-five leading roles in such productions as 42nd Street, Same Time Next year, Follies, Company, The Music Man, Bye Bye Birdie, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Me and My Girl, for which he was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award.
Among his numerous Awards include induction into both the Radio Television Broadcasters and D.C. Sports Halls of Fame, Washingtonian of the Year, and CYO Award for National Person of the Year.
