John Getz is an American actor, best known for Blood Simple, The Fly, Zodiac, and The Social Network. Other film credits include Certain Women, Trumbo, A Line in the Sand, Nanking, Living ‘til the End, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Curly Sue, Men at Work, Born On The Fourth Of July, and Blood Simple.

Television credits include NBC’s Aquarius, Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, Showtime's Homeland, NBC’s The West Wing, and NBC’s Another World.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut as Vernon Gersch in They’re Playing Our Song (Imperial Theatre) and Marc/Others in M. Butterfly (Eugene O'Neill Theatre) and Off-Broadway, as Ben Bagdikian/Others in Top Secret: The Battle for the Pentagon Papers (N.Y.
