Herman Wouk is an internationally acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning Jewish American novelist and author of over twenty works.
His Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Caine Mutiny, was later turned into a movie and the Broadway play, The Caine Mutiny Court Martial (Plymouth Theatre). Other Broadway theatre credits include Nature’s Way (Coronet Theatre) and The Traitor (48th Street Theatre).
Among his other works are the novels The Winds of War, War and Remembrance, Aurora Dawn, Marjorie Morningstar, Youngblood Hawke, The City Boy, and The Will to Live.
Wouk's first work of nonfiction, This is My God: The Jewish Way of Life, published in 1959, aimed to explain Orthodox Judaism to Jews and non-Jews alike. Wouk published an autobiographical memoir entitled Sailor and Fiddler: Reflections of a 100-Year-Old Author, released on May 27, 2015, in honor of Wouk's 100th birthday.
