Glynn Turman

Glynn Turman is an American stage, television, and film actor as well as a writer, director, and producer. He is best known for Super 8, Burlesque, Men of Honor, and Gremlins. Other film credits include Solace, Last of the Showmen, Men of Honor, and Cooley High.

Television credits include Jeremiah Kaan on Showtime’s House of Lies, Mayor Clarence V. Royce on HBO’s The Wire, and Colonel Bradford ‘Brad’ Taylor on NBC’s A Different World.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut as Travis Younger in A Raisin in the Sun (Ethel Barrymore/Belasco Theatres) and Steve Carlton in What the Wine-Sellers Buy (Vivian Beaumont Theatre); Off-Broadway, as James Horsford Ottley III in Eyes of the American (Theatre Four), Tim Jr. in Who’s Got His Own (Theatre at St. Clement’s), and Do Lord Remember Me (American Place Theatre); and regionally, as Phil Hogan in A Moon for the Misbegotten (Williamstown Theatre).
