George Gaynes was a Finnish-born American singer and actor of stage, screen, and television, best known as Henry Warnimont on NBC's Punky Brewster. Other television roles include Senator Strobe Smithers on CBS' Hearts Afire and Arthur Feldman on NBC's The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd.

Film credits include Just Married, Wag the Dog, The Crucible, The Fantastic Four, Vanya on 42nd Street, and the Police Academy series: Mission to Moscow/6: City Under Siege/5: Assignment: Miami Beach/4: Citizens on Patrol/3: Back in Training/2: Their First Assignment/Police Academy.
