Christopher Schuman

Christopher Schuman is an actor, best known as a Mennonite Choir Member in the HBO miniseries, Angels in America.

He has starred in performances at Minnesota Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh, Skylight Opera Theatre, Opera Festival of New Jersey, Orlando Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Lima Philharmonic, Colombia Pro Cantare, Baniff Festival, and Spoleto Festival. In addition, he has performed solo works on the stages of Carnegie Hall, 92nd Street Y, Weill Recital Hall, and Merkin Hall.

His standard operatic repertoire includes the roles of Escamillo, Count Rodolfo, Colline, Don Giovanni, Masetto, and Mozart’s Figaro. Christopher has performed in numerous contemporary operas including Antheils’s TransatlanticVenus in Africa, and Moran’s Desert Roses. He also created the role of The Baker in The Pied Piper and Marvin in The Witchboy.
