Carol Kane is an American stage, screen and television actress, best known for Trees Lounge, The Princess Bride, Annie Hall and Dog Day Afternoon. Other film credits include Clutter, Sleepwalk with Me, The Last Detail, A Constant Forge, Man on the Moon, Scrooged, Over the Brooklyn Bridge, Racing with the Moon, Hester Street and Wedding in White. 

Television credits inlcude her two-time Emmy Award-winning role as Simka Dahblitz-Gravas, the wife of Latka, on Taxi. Other television credits include Lillian Kaushtupper on Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Gertrude Kapelput on FOX's Gotham and Lillian Abernathy on NBC's American Dreamer. 

Broadway credits include Carol's debut as Esme Train in Ring Around the Bathtub (Martin Beck Theatre). Other Broadway credits include Tillie in The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (Biltmore Theatre); Madame Morrible in Wicked (Gershwin Theatre); Miss Fancy in Sly Fox (Ethel Barrymore Theatre); and Betty Chumley in Harvey (Studio 54).
