Carl Lumbly is an American film, stage, and television actor, best known for his roles as NYPD Detective Marcus Petrie on the CBS police drama, Cagney & Lacey and CIA Agent Marcus Dixon on the ABC espionage drama series, Alias. Other television credits include Delavenne on CBS’ Zoo, Captain Joel Rucker on TNT’s Southland, Dr. Miles Hawkins on FOX’s M.A.N.T.I.S., and Earl Williams on NBC’s L.A. Law.
