
Bud Cort is an American film and stage actor, comedian, writer, director and voice artist widely known for his portrayals of Harold in Hal Ashby's film, Harold and Maude and the eponymous hero in Robert Altman's film, Brewster McCloud. Other film credits include The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Big Empty, Pollock, Coyote Ugly, But I'm a Cheerleader, Dogma, Sweet Jane, Theodore Rex, Girl in the Cadillac, Ted & Venus, Brain Dead, The Chocolate War, Out of the Dark, Love at Stake, and Invaders from Mars.
Television guest starring roles include Eagleheart, Criminal Minds, Ugly Betty, Gun, Jack's Place, Bob, The Twilight Zone, Insight, The Governor & J.J., Room 222, and Mr. Deeds Goes to Town.
He debuted on Broadway as Jerry in Wise Child (Helen Hayes Theatre). Regionally, Bud starred in The Birthday Present 2050 (Argyle Road Productions).
He studied with the legendary Stella Adler at the Actor's Studio.
