
Bruce Norris is an American actor and playwright. Bruce set out to become an actor, performing at Victory Gardens Theater, Goodman Theatre, and Steppenwolf Theatre, as well as on Broadway. His Broadway acting credits include his debut as Eugene Morris Jerome in Biloxi Blues (Neil Simon Theatre); Adam in Wrong Mountain (Eugene O'Neill Theatre); and Morrow McCarthy in An American Daughter (Cort Theatre).
His play, Clybourne Park, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Oliver Prize and Tony Award for Best Play (Walter Kerr Theatre).
His first play, The Actor Retires, was produced as a radio play as part of the Guest Quarters Hotel series, Chicago Theaters on the Air. Other plays include The Qualms, Domesticated, The Low Road, A Parallelogram, The Unmentionables, The Pain and the Itch, We All Went Down to Amsterdam, Purple Heart, The Infidel and The Vanishing Twin.
