
Begonya Plaza is a Spanish/American stage and screen actress, voice-over performer, writer and director.
She has acted in television and film with directors including Walter Hill, Oliver Stone, Michael Mann, Tim Hunter and Clint Eastwood. On stage, Begonya was directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman in the original production of In Arabia We'd All be Kings at Labyrinth Theatre Company, and in other productions with collaborators such as Dan Lauria, Barry Gifford, John Randolph, and Austria's Kurt Palm, performing a one-person erotic poetry musical by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill.
Playwright credits include Ecstasy (Cherry Lane Theatre), Persistence of Memory (Shelter Studios), The Brisket Brigade, and A Lucid Dream.
Begonya has written and directed the short films American Hero, Gero Arte and The Kiss, and the documentaries The Real Gernika and Souvenir Views, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, and aired on IFC.
