Basil Langton

Basil Langton was a British actor, director, and theater manager. He is best known for The Man of Destiny and Double Exposures. Other film credits include Eagle in a Cage, Pygmalion, Twelfth Night, Mr. Smith Carries On, Almost a Gentleman, The Elder Brother, Father Steps Out, The Shadow of Mike Emerald, One Good Turn, The Belles of St. Clements and King of the Damned.

His many television credits include The Naked Truth, Star Trek: Voyager, Empty Nest, Wings, Dark Shadows, Murphy Brown, Doctor Doctor, Highway to Heaven, General Hospital and I Spy.

On Broadway, Basil repeated his London portrayal of General Sir Alan Brooke in Soldiers (Billy Rose Theatre). He was also seen as Merlin in Camelot and in The Affair. He toured with the national company of Hostile Witness and has done numerous productions regionally.

Basil is a founding member of the Travelling Repertory Theatre.
