ANTHONY AZIZI is returning to the role of Abu Ala after appearing in the original Broadway and Lincon Center Theater casts for Oslo (2017 Tony Award Winner – Best Play). Other theatre credits include: Ensemble Studio Theater, Thirteenth St. Repertory Company, Kennedy Center, Geffen Playhouse, and more. He ran his own theater company in New York called The Clandestine Group which used 13th Street's space to stage its own productions. Film credits include: McHale's Navy, Three Kings, For Richer or Poorer, Tomcats, The Lost Battalion, and AmericanEast opposite Tony Shalhoub. Anthony was the first Iranian American actor in history to be a TV series regular on a network one hour drama in ABC’s Threat Matrix, starring opposite James Denton, Kelly Rutherford, and Mahershala Ali. Other TV credits include: Dragnet, NYPD Blue, The Shield, The West Wing, Gilmore Girls, 24 Desperate Housewives, Commander in Chief, CSI Miami, Without a Trace, Sleeper Cell, Criminal Minds, and Lost. Anthony has a production company with his dear friend and ex Threat Matrix cast mate Kurt Caceres. He is involved in many social causes including Equality Now and The Noor Film Festival which he co-founded. Anthony received his BFA in Theater Arts from Muhlenberg College. He resides in LA with twin boys Kambel and Smith, and is a member of the Baha'i Faith - the guiding compass in his life.
