Anne Meara

Anne Meara was an American actress and comedian, and was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Television. She was featured on stage, television, in films, and later became a playwright. During her career, Anne was nominated for four Emmy Awards and a Tony Award, and won a Writers Guild Award as a co-writer for the movie The Other Woman.

Television credits include Veronica Olchin on CBS' The King of Queens, Mary Brady on HBO's Sex and the City, Peggy Moody on ABC's All My Children, Dorothy Halligan on NBC's ALF, and Veronica Rooney on CBS' Archie Bunker's Place.

Broadway credits include her debut as Katia in A Month in the Country and the Niece in The Good Woman of Setzuan (Phoenix Theatre); Marthy Owen in Anna Christie (Criterion Center Stage); May Logan in Eastern Standard (John Golden Theatre); and Sick-of-it-All in Miss Lonelyhearts (Music Box Theatre).
