Anna Nicholas is a writer, actor, and director whose career is comprised of work for stage, film, television, and individual consumption. Produced plays include Villa Thrilla; Our Dark Connection; The Elegant Dinner; Searching for Mary Jane; Lu/Lou; The Beaver Suite; and Incunabula.
Nicholas adapted Jane Smiley’s Duplicate Keys and Look at Me; and is the author of three published novels: The Muffia; Homegrown: The Terror Within; and the non-fiction work, Royal Mack’s Teeny Tiny Wine Guide.
She wrote, produced, and directed the international film festival prize-winning mockumentary, Univers’l, a multilingual film about the LA riots of 1992; and her short film, The Big Bowling Ball, was nominated for best live action short.
Nicholas is the winner of the Santa Barbara Screenwriting Competition, Tent Square, Oregon Screenwriting and Scriptapalooza TV Writing Competitions, and is the recipient of both Walden and Tano Media Writing Fellowships.
