Lawrence Pressman is an American actor, best known as Vernon 'Brando' Wilkes on CW's Hart of Dixie, Ed Paskowitz on Amazon's Transparent, and Dr. Benjamin Canfield on ABC's Doogie Howser, M.D.

Film credits include Mother and Child, Tickling Leo, Nine Lives, American Wedding, American Pie, Angus, Nine to Five, Shaft, and The Hellstrom Chronicle.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut and Theatre Award-winning role, Sam, in Never Live Over a Pretzel Factory (Eugene O'Neil Theatre); Dick Christie in Woody Allen’s Play it Again, Sam (Broadhurst Theatre); and Charlie Cohn in Woody Allen’s The Man in the Glass Booth (Royale Theatre). Off-Broadway, as Jerry in Show People (2econd Stage), Arnold in Arf/Young Man in The Great Airplane Snatch (Stage 73), and Barney in Hunting the Jingo Bird (Cherry Lane Theatre); and regionally, as Apollo in The Legend of Oedipus, Orlovsky in The Wood Demon, and Hirst in No Man's Land (Antaeus Theatre).
