John R. Hopkins

John R. Hopkins was an English film, stage, and television writer, best known for Murder by Decree, The Offence, and Thunderball. Other film credits include Hiroshima, Of Mice and Men, and Two Left Feet.

Television series credits include BBC’s Theatre 625 and BBC’s Z-Cars. Television miniseries credits include ITV’s Codename: Kyril, BBC’s Smiley People, BBC’s Fathers and Families, BBC’s The Gambler, and BBC’s Crying Down the Lane.

Theatre credits include his Broadway work Find Your Way Home (Brooks Atkinston/Biltmore Theatres); his Off-Broadway work Losing Time (Stage 73); his regional work Absent Forever (Great Lakes Theater); and his London works This Story of Yours (Royal Court Theatre), Next of Kin (National Theatre), On Location (Broxbourne Centre), and Economic Necessity (Haymarket Theatre).
