Michael Dixon

Michael Dixon has worked as Literary Director at The Guthrie Theater, Literary Manager/ Associate Artistic Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville and Literary Associate at South Coast Repertory.  He directed Julie Marie Myatt's Boats on a River and The Sex Habits of American Women at the Guthrie, and has staged world premiere productions of plays by Jessica Goldberg, Melanie Marnich, Joan Ackermann, Naomi Wallace, Megan Mostyn-Brown, and Jane Martin.  He's directed new work at Illusion Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Commonweal Theatre Company, Park Square Theatre, Florida Stage, and Actors Theatre of Louisville; co-edited 35 volumes of plays and criticism; and co-written more than 20 produced and published plays.  He's taught drama at Carleton College and North Carolina Central University and was a Fellow in the Theatre Program at the NEA.
