Mas Moriya

Mas Moriya is a multidisciplinary creative, specializing as a screenwriter and historian of Japanese American history and culture. He is the founder of Filmclusive, a marketplace for writers, agencies, and studio. His creative skills are in filmmaking, event photography, and nonprofit organizing. While bootstrapping his startup, Mas also mentors 5th graders in filmmaking through the Youth Cinema Project. As a 5th generation mixed Japanese American whose family experienced internment at Tule Lake and Amache, Mas draws inspiration from his uncle, acclaimed actor Sab Shimono, whose career motivated him to enter the film industry. His passion lies in sharing the stories of the Japanese American community, particularly their experiences during WWII.
