Martin Jenkins is an actor, director, and producer. He won the Sunday Times National Student Drama Festival Best Actor award in 1962 and the Best Director award in 1963. In 1964 he was the first Artistic Director of the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool. In 1966, he was invited to join the BBC Radio Drama Department and worked in theatre in both the UK and North America until 1973, when he became a staff producer. He eventually became Chief Producer Drama (Radio) for BBC until 1997.
