John Thompson

John Thompson is an OBIE Award-winning Canadian-American actor, best known for A Most Violent Year, The Bourne Legacy, Michael Clayton, and Midway. Other film credits include Wolves, Day Ten, and Glass Chin.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut as Flavius/Others in Julius Caesar (Belasco Theatre), Carla Lee Hailey In A Time To Kill (John Golden Theatre), and La Bret in Cyrano de Bergerac (Richard Rodgers Theatre); Off-Broadway, as Robert in Dear Elizabeth (McGinn-Cazale Theatre), Louis Armstrong/Joe Glasser in Satchmo at the Waldorf (Westside Theatre), Kent/Edgar in King Lear (Newman/HSA Theatres), Gennady in The Forest (Classic Stage), Brutus Jones in The Emperor Jones (Irish Repertory), Othello in Othello, Enobarbus in Antony and Cleopatra, and Orombo in Oroonoko (Duke on 42nd Street), and Judge Brack in Hedda Gabler (N.Y. Theatre Workshop); and regionally, as Ira Aldridge in Red Velvet (Tina Packer Playhouse) and Joe Mott in The Iceman Cometh (Goodman Theatre).
