John Mahoney is an English-born American actor, best known as Martin Crane on NBC’s Frasier. Other television credits include Roy on TVLand’s Hot in Cleveland andWalter Barnett on HBO’s In Treatment.

Film credits include Moonstruck, Tin Men, Say Anything, Primal Fear, Barton Fink, Almost Salinas, She's the One, Primal Fear, The American President, The Hudsucker Proxy, and Suspect.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut as Artie Shaughnessy in The House of Blue Leaves, winning at Tony Award for Best Actor (Vivian Beaumont/Plymouth Theatre), and the Old Man in Prelude to a Kiss (American Airlines Theatre); Off-Broadway, as John Cleary in The Subject Was Roses (Union Square Theatre), and Harold in Orphans (Westside Theatre); and regionally, as Brian in The Herd, Petey in The Birthday Party, and Richard Harkin in The Seafarer (Steppenwolf Theatre); and Dan in Chapatti, Gunner in The Outgoing Tide, and Desmond Drumm in A Life (Northlight Theatre).
